Bio

Margaret Carneal, Assistant Professor of Interior Design, holds a bachelors and masters degree in interior design from Virginia Tech.  Currently, she is in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech.  Carneal has over 20 years of experience in the residential Design Build sector and holds NCIDQ certification.  From the National Kitchen and Bath Association, she is a Certified Kitchen Designer and Certified Bathroom Designer.  She is also a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society.
